Julia Wasilewski is an Assistant Professor at the University of Lethbridge and a Lethbridge-based costume, set and lighting designer. Julia’s practice embraces the intersection between traditional design conventions and contemporary renewable approaches in an effort to embrace sustainable theatre-making. She has worked with theatre companies across the province and embraces collaboration within traditional and non-traditional theatrical formats. She was a founding member and resident designer for the theatre collective Theatre Transit which actively created community engaged work from 2009-2017, and Hootenanny!, a free all ages theatrical offering in the center of Lethbridge.
