Dr. Julia Brassolotto is an Associate Professor of Public Health in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Lethbridge. For the past seven years, she held an Alberta Innovates – New Investigator Research Chair. Her interdisciplinary research program looks at care for older adults and end-of-life care. Relevant to the Waking Death series, Julia has done research in the areas of medical assistance in dying (MAiD) and in adapting Age-Friendly Communities to better account for and support dying, death, and grief. She teaches an undergraduate course on Critical Perspectives in Aging and Mortality and has a seemingly insatiable appetite for discussions about all things existential.
